I've had this guitar for about 7 years and I'm getting less and less satisfied with the stock Gibsons (whatever they are).  The maple neck, ebony fretboard, and spruce top definitely make for a brighter sound, often a bit too bright.  Never having replaced the pickups on a semi-hollow before, what combo might work best?  I'm pretty much your average blues-rock kind of guy, wailin' away since 1976.  :)  My main amp is a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL50, main effects are an old Crybaby and a Fulltone DejaVibe (plus a beat-up MuTron II that I just can't part with!).  Any suggestions on a new pickups set for my HRF would be appreciated!

Thanks from "across the pond"

Hmm.  I would recommend something from this short list:

*  Stormy Mondays
*  Mules
*  Crawlers

The order I placed them in is the order of output, too, from least to most.

Personally I'd go with the Mules.  If you email Tim, the main BKP guy, he's usually pretty quick to reply and he'll give you the best advice.  I've only given you an educated guess, since I don't own your guitar--or any of the above pickups!  ;)  But I have hung around this site far too much listening to peoples' opinions and sound clips.  :lol:
