I got an awesome guitar for only $900 CND, which is something like £430. Oh, wait that didn't include the pickups, but still!

This is my BKP loaded Warmoth build. This is the 2nd body I ordered. The first one was basswood with a maple top, but it sounded too muddy. It now has an Alder body with curly maple top. The neck has an awesome birdseye finish too. I'm looking into having a 7 string one made at the moment. The quality is fantastic.

BKP Miracle Man bridge, Sultans middle & neck.

I've been very impressed with the Wilkinson/LSR nut/Schaller locking tuners combination - stays in tune very well even with heavy trem abuse :D

hmmm, good question.

If I'd really shopped around I'm sure I could have found something that sounded as good or even better, but it wouldn't have been anywhere near as much fun about putting this one together, or put the same smile on my face when I play it :D

While there are plenty of good guitars in that price range, there weren't many that met all my requirements & that I liked the look of. So I guess my answer is "no" :)

How many guitars can you buy off the peg that do absolutely everything you want it to, down to fretwire size, neck profile, etc? There's always something not quite right if your 100% honest.

imo, the standard (not custom shop) guitars produced by the big name manufacturers can't compete with Warmoth on quality.

Here's 2 pictures of the neck that I found aswell browsing my old computer's backup disks. This was before I put on the headstock decal, clear coat and polished the paint. Im going to repaint the face of the headstock black, and have the back of the neck clear gloss showing the maple underneath. I'll be using nitro this time; these pics are of the neck painted with acrylic (Halford's car paint).

Yeah, that worked out great Brainzy. Nice looking neck, the inlays has a good curl to them. The fretboard is ebony, i presume.

Yep, ebony on maple. I can't remember what fret size I got, medium jumbo maybe? Whatever it was, I remember at the time I ordered whatever I had on my 2004 Fender USA Standard Strat. I can't find anywhere to fault the neck, the compound radius is great to play on. It doesn't feel strange at all, in fact when playing other guitars now, THOSE guitars feel strange because they don't have a compound radius. So it's a very natural feeling neck to play on.

Im really itching to get this guitar painted, I just need to come up with the £30 for the nitro paint. I won't be able to repaint the body yet, as that'll cost about £60 more for the paint (I think), so I'll just show you pictures of it assembled once the neck's finished with the body like it is now.
