I am tempted to buy a new singlecoil for neck position in new body I am building right now.
I used to have a Mothers Milk neck pickup in a standard strat and I loved it, but the Guitar I am currently building has a very different spec - It’ll be 25.5” HS fixed bridge with ebony/wenge neck and obeche (ayous) body (I expect the body wood to sound somewhere between light mahogany and basswood, I’d use this pickup as well with Korina body I already have though)
I hope it’s not against the rules to mention that but I am also tempted by Lindy Fralin Blues Special - I haven’t had any experience with Fralins and I am a die hard BKP fan, but I am in love of Bob Lanzetti tone and this is what He use…
Anyone had an Opportunity to compare those two pickups? Any other suggestions for a singlecoil neck pickup for ~”mahogany strat”?
