I´ve ordered the Crawler-set and got them 2 weeks before this gig summer of 2005. They replaced the Gibson 500T, 496R and I´m very satisfied with the TONE I got from them.

Great - Can't beat a live recording to hear how a pickup really sounds.

Got a set of Crawlers in my Les Paul too.

For your information:

In the clip I am playin´ thru a PodXT (based on a patch called "LesPaul Rock?" can be downloaded from customtome, which I have done some modification to=cant be downloaded yet ).
Used as a Preamp in front of a Laney VH100 (used as a poweramp only) and a 2x12 Vintage 30 cab.

I went for a uphotted classic rock tone and think I got it quite right with the Crawlers.

Great video! The tone is superb for the song, nice n' thick, wich you need beeing the only guitarist in the band. You sure got the Slash poses nailed.  Only thing missing is the top hat.

Great band!

Wow... I would never expect them to sound that good! Just wondering though, why dont you use the Laneys overdrive/distortions?

THE Sweetest Crawler clip I have heard yet.  I have a les paul copy set for Mules, but this clip makes me think again.  That tone cuts through so well live, I am amazed.  Was that a sound board recording?  Great stage presence too, and good shredding.  Cheers,   lifted

sgmypod: Hope you´ll find it, I´ve took that and then tweaked it to my taste, a little more gain, chorus, and delay on the lead. (compressor also?) I usually also turn up the mid on the solosound for better cut thru and "singing"-tone. You can use that patch both direct to the PA or with a Poweamp. Originally it sounds... well... lespaul.

_tom_: I couldn´t use the Pox as a effect only but now I think I know how it works. My modified Laney sounds even better :-)

Muso: Well, we are not 100% serious, wigs and stuff, but the music is serious :-)

lifted: Thank´s I shared the clip because it might be interesting with the Crawlers during a live performance. The sound is taken from the stage sound (mixer) (hmm... don´t know how to explain that in english) In my opinion the do cut through, and they also sound "alive" even when played with a PodXT. Great PU´s! One of my best investments so far.
