treble bleed, something bothering me, help
« on: May 19, 2006, 05:19:14 PM »
okay, I think the treble bleed sounds pretty cool,

however, now that there are highfrequencies almost always coming out of the amp, even with the volume turned down, I can't get the distorted tone to clean up.  It only thins out.  Do I go up in resistor value or down in cap value or what?  what is the principle involved?

what size cap and resistor are you using? do you have them connected in parallel or series?

if you're using the resistor in series to change the taper of the pot then you could soften the treble-bleed effect of the cap by inserting a resistor in series with it.
