Stormy Monday or Mule?
« on: May 24, 2006, 10:40:54 PM »
I'm building a Super Strat style guitar. It's made of swamp ash and has a Floyd Rose route and a maple/rosewood neck. I'm puttng a hybrid Seymour Duncan in the bridge (Custom/59 w/ an alnico 2 mag). I want a vintage style HB in the neck. I'm leaning towards an Alnico 4 mag since I like a hollowish sound that I get from an Alnico 5, but something a little closer to an Alnico 2, so the 4 sounds right.

ANYWHO... Has anyone put either of these pickups in a similar guitar? Do you think I should go with the Mule since it's a little higher output? The bridge pickup will be around 11.5k. Aside from the DC Resistance what it the main difference between these pickups?

Thank you.
Soon we'll be away from here
