Volume/tone pot capacitor question...
« on: May 24, 2006, 11:29:34 PM »
When you roll off the volume control on your guitar, does the capicitor between the volume pot and the tone pot affect the sound?  I know it does when you roll off the tone control, but how about if you roll off the volume?

Unsolder the capacitor from the volume pot and you'll see how much it changes the tone with the tone control completely removed from the circuit. That in itself is a revelation!

I found that moving the Capacitor from the volume control's input lug (outer) and moving it to it's output lug (centre) - and then onto the tone pot, helped retain more highs when turning down the volume control.
