Your right, Warmoth won't warrant an unfinished neck because they can absorb moisture and so on, but I've used mine like this for well over a year, took it abroad, toured it, left it in a sub zero condition rehersal room for weeks on end, really used it without any adjustments or problems whatsoever. The quality of the necks are amazing. They only cost around £100, and that was for a birdseye finish too. Even after a few years, the neck warps due to lack of finish, for the sake of £100 the feel is worth it alone. Unfinished necks feel nicer to the touch, with no sticky paint, but do look grubby and used. I like 'em. Get a natural body too. Never have to polish it. I hate polishing and re-stringing guitars. Proper workhorse!! :D
