A Euro, Nick,  is best avoided at all costs- just ask the Italians.

^ the engl cab with vintage 30's is about £600 minimum, nick- i assume the greenback one will be similar- that one you're looking at doesn't have as good speakers, as far as I know...

^ i haven't tried it, but going by the specs, I'd take the framus cobra cab- or the dragon one if you want vintage 30's. If all you want is vintage 30's, though, i think the laney one is cheaper. Of course they'll all sound quite a bit different, even if they have the same speakers.

i don't think the engl standard cab is as good as the vintage one, from what i hear- but i've heard a few people prefer them. Most don't, though.

You need to try them, unfortunately. When I was looking into my amp, I tried out everything I could within reason. It involved a summer holiday in london (was going anyway, but several days and trips were planned solely to try out kit), and a later trip to edinburgh (as my sister is at uni there) to try out stuff as well. It's a lot of work, but at least you know you did all you could- with you being on the mainland (when you get here!), it should be at least a bit easier.
