OK, so you know how in the cover of albums you get given the lyrics to all the songs ... how come you never get given the tabs for all the songs if there aren't any lyrics???

Yeah but only famous bands and people like Metallica have tab books, fairly unknown bands don't.

Sorry, but you're also wrong about the tabs. There are tons of tab books out there; unfortunately, you need to live in Japan to know about em!!

It's all made up of these funny lines / boxes and numbers which are all greek to me...

Why can't they just give you coloured dots to stick on your fretboard like my teacher does.

He can play ALL the chords, so he knows a thing or two...

There is a guitar made (yamaha or summit) that the fretboard LIGHTS up with dots telling ya where to put ya fingers. Not too bad an idea for a beginner youngster on the face of it I guess. Might get bit confusing later on though, at a gig, string breaks (no spare axe) , borrow another bands guitar (which has fretboard LED's) AGGGHHH LOL!
