I have a Keeley Compressor.

Would I pay £185 for it? Probably not, I don't use compressor enough to justify that cost.

However, I did manage to fluke one for £80 on eBay (Buy It Now - it had been listed for 5 minutes...), and I'm happy to have it in my setup. :)

Yes, but they seem to be made of unobtanium for Australians. Can anyone recomend a reliable dealer in the US or Europe that ships overseas? Of Keeley or HBE.

Barber Tone Press. After this, all other compressors are redundant IMHO.

From the US, just order direct from Joel hisself, www.homebrewelectronics.com. In the UK, Music Toyz carries HBE.

On general principle, they're awesome pedals. Their compressor isn't what I would call transparent, tho.

I must admit I'm not one for transparent compressors, thats probably why I only ever really got on with the MXR Dynacomp.

I was thinking of getting a Keeley Comp as well but you should consider the Analogman Bi-CompROSSor.  I think to get a full sized one there is a backorder but the mini version does the same job + is basically 2 different compressors in 1!

+1 for the Analogman Bi-CompROSSor!  Don't own one, but I messed with one once, and it does what it says it does (which is shoehorn the sound of the old Ross compressors and Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezers into one box).  I'd get the Mini version (if I had the cash, which I don't), as it's slightly cheaper and might not have the wait.  You can set it to get silly sustain, all sounding very smooth.  8)
