Hi All,
I recently sold my Fender hotrod deluxe cuz I was tight on cash and have a Marshall dfx250. I would have sold the Marshall but my father bought it for me a while ago so i feel bad selling it. Anyway, I was looking at the Epiphone Valve Junior Tube Amplifier Head for only 99 bux.

I was thinking of getting this and using it with the speakers in the Marshall instead of its solid state circuitry.
What do you guys think? I figure it probably sounds a lot better than the Marshall since its a small tube amp. I could probably upgrade the tubes and use my OD and distortion pedals. thanks

I've heard great things about it, but never tried it so I can't help you.

It is a great little amp, I have the combo version and the clean tone is great. For distortion you need a good overdrive/distortion pedal. I would also suggest some sort of eq pedal along with it.
