Hey guys, I'd just like to know, what are the best super strats in your opinion? I'm looking at getting a new guitar to replace my LTD MH-301. I was looking specifically for a dual humbucker guitar with a comfortable, 24 fret neck (hopefully a set or neckthrough neck). I'm looking at a price range of 650-900. I'm not really picky about the brand, I just want a really good guitar and the super strat setup is my ideal style and shape. I don't really care about the brand, but the guitar must look classy and I don't care about the pickups either. I'll get BKP's when I can.

Those guitars cost a shiteload of money, I think he was looking for more mid-ranged priced guitars. ESP is perfect.

Uhhhh, i second what that guy ^ said, but still awesome information guys... I just bid on a John Petrucci signature guitar...and I love his tone, so it's all good. Just need to get BKP's for it if I actually am successful.

If it's not too mainstream for you: MusicMans are fantastic guitars. Try an Axis SuperSport (or if you need Floyd: an Axis) or even a Silhouette. You should be able to get them in your price range off ebay in good condition.

They also have distinctive looks and high quality woods as a fantastic basis to BKP them:)

Look out on ebay for the Charvel Model 5 or Model 6. They have through neck construction, high output pickups, good hardware and some of them look amazing and have some brilliant reviews on them.

+1 on that!

Here's my Warmoth superstrat made to Fender Strat dimensions (except the headstock shape and compound radius fretboard).

It's currently awaiting a body refinish to lake placid blue....
