My girlfriend went. did you enjoy it? she won't shut up about it - makes me so jealous... Not sure i trust her judgement at all though since she said "even Nickelback were great!"

They actually were though, I was really surprised about that...Their albums are awful, but they put on a really good show - especially when they had T-Shirt cannons and the singer guy started playing seek and destroy :P

Bon Jovi were awesome, but they played too many songs from crush (their worst album IMO) and not enough from Bounce...but that's just personal preference i suppose - all the old ones were there, basically most of crossroads...the atmosphere was great though, you know a band is popular when they can break into "dancing in the street" and "shout" (yup, the lulu one) in the middle of songs and people just keep singing :P

Nickleback sucked when they were here.  They spent the whole show going on about how high they were and swearing up a storm.  Music?  What music?

They didn't swear excessively or mention being high yesterday...They just played their songs and got on with it

I wouldn't be happy unless they played 3 or more songs from the first album and 7800 farenheit.
7800 gets such a bad rap and yet if you listen to Sambora's playing on it - it's brilliant. Some of the unknown songs are just so good - secret dreams, Price of love,  Tokyo Road etc

Glad you enjoyed the gig - my friends said it was good

Anyone going to Def Leppard?

ARGH another gig I'd kill to go to, but just can't afford. I hate money. I need to buy the girl a birthday present, tickets to so many gigs, gonna have to spend like £30 on my friend's paintballing party today, £10 on booze for an upcoming party. And that's all without the most important thing i need to buy - BKPs, guitars to put them in, an overdrive pedal, and e.q, a 4x12 cab...
grrrr one day i'll have money, i'm sure

Yep i agree, 7800 is a great album with some wicked Sambora solos and tones!!
He has been using the new floyd rose guitars for the pat 2 to 3 years and they sound really good. A strat style body but with les paul thick tones.
Mule,Trilogy,Irish Tours,Holy Diver and Apaches.

I was quite a ways back, so i may be mistaken, but it looked like he was playing a Burns Bison (the flat headstock version) with humbuckers and a FR, neither of which come as standard - but i spose when you have money you can get these sorts of things :P

We unfortunately didn't get anything from 7800, I was hoping they'd play "In and Out of Love" 'cause it'd make a great one for audience participation...and the only thing they played from the first album was "Runaway"...

I think they could've picked a better set list, but it was a very good gig, well worth the money (and the 4.5 hours it took to get home :P )
