What's wrong with it, it is great!

Edit: It's the same specs basically, except this one seems even better.

Edit 2 - I'm also looking at the C-1 Blackjack, it's basically the same.

Very Similar specs, but i don't know - i just prefered the vibe of the dean - it looked classy, and very rawk. This looks more tacky with the abalone binding... I'm also sceptical about the quality of the guitar; if it's around the same price as the dean, you are probably paying most of that for the pickups..?
I won't speak for anyone else; they may all be loving the Schecter idea

There is a plain black version which i have just posted which i think looks better, i'm really digging the Schecter though, i know the EMG's play a big part in the price but to be honest i didn't find the Dean that amazing, also i wasn't really fond of all that gold hardware, and with this guitar i can get Burnt Chrome pickups :D

Agreed.

I don't like the heel at the neck/headstock joint on the Schecters I have played. I have been told that some don't have it, but every one I have played has had it, and it sucked when I was at the lower register. And even though I don't like a string through, I still like the Dean better. With just the string ferrels (sp) it looks like it is lacking. The "Z" bridge breaks up that, and nicely really.

That is just my opinion, and I suggest you play any and everything you have listed and get what you like. That is the ticket. You won't make good music on equipment you don't like.

Which Dean were you looking at.

I've quite liked most of the Schecters I've played, but then I've only played the Blackjack 7 string and the Omen 6.

Damn them and their extra jumbo frets! Can't stand those :P

I have to say they both look better than the dean which was just hideous in my opinion...shows how different me and indy are really doesn't it

It seems like you're only comparing these guitars based on their looks though, which is probably not the best idea

I'm not, a plain black super strat guitar isn't much to look at is it, and that is the one i want at the moment.

Are you sure now?

Have you played one of those Schecters?  I have and I wasn't that impressed.  In fact I played it next to a few Agiles and much preferred the feel of them.  Very different guitars, of course, but I wasn't fond of the Schecter in any case.

Well - the guitars are extremely similar spec-wise.
Joe - i definately think you should go out and try them both (assuming of course that that is possible for you)
