Mule - slash style lead .. updated again with a new song!
« on: June 14, 2006, 09:17:35 PM »
My mate found this track from somewhere, it had a lead but there was a gap where I could "steal" the backing track/rhythm from so I did and added a similar lead to the one allready on it.. thought I'd post it up here in case anyones interested. It was my usual recording setup - Epi LP Custom with Mules into V-Amp 2 into soundcard.

Enjoy  :)

oh and its the bridge mule if you couldnt allready tell :P

EDIT- new power metal type song I made today up!

Excellent tone and playing, i especially like the perfect intervention of the double stops.
Make it longer though.
I want more.
MORE!

Nicely done, Tom.  Some  nice quickfire licks there.  I like the bright tone here.  Increases the old G.A.S  for the mule for my LP copy.  I wish it was longer as well.  Keep up the good work.  More Mule clips, Please!

Yeah they are my Mules when they arrived after being re-covered in black instead of the gold ones I originally had on  :)

As for the pic... when something owns... its better than everything basically! Maybe I should take those words off to avoid confusion..

Cheers for the comments, appreciate them! I could extend the backing and add to this lead later I guess, I might also work on a new clip again but I havent really had much riff-making inspiration for a while now.. maybe I should just do a simple 12 bar blues based clip    8)

Good clip there Tom :)

Those clips sound great. I dunno what it is, but other people always seem to get better tones out of a V-amp2 than I've ever been able to! lol

You're just adding to my 'Mule for my Gibby LP GAS' with this clip

cheers :) I've always been able to get a good tone out of the V-Amp 2 for recording at least, doesnt sound as great through my fender for some reason, which is a shame as its a versatile modeller and I love its recorded tones! You just have to play with the cab models, I found that the 1x8" model (number 1 in the selection) always gives the best tone, the others all make it sound really fake or something.. Gonna record some other stuff soon, maybe some improvising to a Since I've Been Loving You backing track..

Pure ownage is a gamer thing.
Tom is a gamer.
As am I.
It seems to be a very good photoshop if people think those pickups are real.

I wouldn't mind a set.

Oh and, i got to listen to the ACDC thing before anyone, so i'm very happy.

Good work, Tom.

Keep it up.
