Korg DT10 ?
« on: June 17, 2006, 06:34:08 PM »
Hey whats the general word on the street over this tuner? Id love a real good tuner to stick on the floor and stuff rather than unplugging my guitar every 30 mins in a jam to plug into my cr@ppy £10 tuner to fine-tune and back again.

Am i lazy? yes, but thats beside the point :P

I never really thought a tuner made a huge amount of diff but i heard (i think on this forum) that they can have a little drain on tone.

Any thoughts?
Cheers

I've got one and I cant notice any difference in the tone when its plugged in. Works great aswell, accurate enough for my ears at least.

Just checked out the boss. Tiny bit more expensive by the looks of it but does look pretty nice. However when i saw the korg i was pretty impressed. Real smooth coz of the large amount of LED's and stuff. I think this time ill go for the Korg to be honest. Plus it looks hell of a sturdy and kinda classy too  8) lol.

Cheers

Yeah I thought the Korg looked better aswell, I prefer the brushed metal look to the cheap look of the boss :)

the DT 10 is great.
Don't affect the tone.
the rack version would be 10 times better but it's a good value for the money.

Also consider the new planet waves pedal tuner....very good display, true bypass, and very smooth for a digital tuner. Not jumpy at all.

I bought a brand new Danelectro DJ-25 Chromatic Tuner pedal from the US (via good ole eBay) inc. delivery to my door, for the grand total of £25.00. Bargain.

The only downside to this pedal is the fact that the signal isn't bypassed when you're tuning, other than that, it's a great little pedal and an accurate tuner for very little wedge.
