Question regarding Pots Value

Hi.
Does it make any difference in tone whether your guitar has a vol pot only (.e.g 500KOhm) or a Vol and a Tone pot (both 500KO)?
I mean if the tone pot is on 10, would it still have any impact on the tone?
Cheers

In a word yes. The capictor from the tone is in parallel with your pickup and will bleed off some treble no matter what the setting is.

Give it a try and see. you could even hookup a mini-toggle switch tempararily to take the tone cap in/out of circuit.
I personally don't think there is much difference at all - changing the height of your pickups gives a much bigger tonal difference.
