Black pickup covers from BKP

Would these fit a Duncan pickup? I have a nickel covered Distortion that I'd want to cover in black and I love the matt finish of the BKP black cover. I just need to make sure they're 100% compatible. Thanks!

lol! i thought this said blood covered for a second, i would like to see that!

On topic: Why don't you just buy a Bare Knuckle pickup? They are better, i'm not sure if he would sell the covers alone, but hey, what do i know?!

Because they cost twice the price of the Duncans I usually get, have a low resale value, and because I have no money :D
I tried a MM and I didn't like it, I won't have the budget for a new pickup like that for a looooon time man...
The shop offers the covers alone. That's why I asked.

^ Maybe he's a Jazz player

But on another note, try a Holy Diver or a Nailbomb - they'll own your face

Not enough mids and not thick enough for me. The Distortion is just perfect with this guitar.
Now that I read the Hply Diver review though, maybe one day. Maybe also a Nailbomb, who knows. I'll need to win the lottery though hehe...

Sounds like you need to turn up the mids, actually.

That's definitely true. With the MM, I always had the mids turned to 8 or 9. And still, I didn't really like the sound. I couldn't pinpoint what was wrong with it at 100%, but I knew it was the midrange. It just didn't please me.

I know that now   I really was attracted by the MM because I had heard of the bass and thick tone. But I didn't find it all that thick. The bass was amazing though and it was smooth in the highs. Great pickup for sure, just not for me. Indeed I should have listened more and gotten a NB.

You say you're based in Edinburgh though... In the UK BKP's cost the same as most Duncans which is one of the reasons they stand out so much.

I get second hand Duncans from the SD forums which usually cost 50 USD shipped to my door or around it. A BKP would cost me 160.

And aren't Duncans 70 pounds? 20 pounds is still a big difference... at least to me, poor student.
