Another new clip, neck and bridge Mules
« on: June 22, 2006, 05:43:57 PM »
I learnt the phrygian modal scale thing from the new TG so I thought I'd make up a tune to see if I can actually put it in context, normally when improvising I just use the regular pentatonic, so it made a nice change, sounds good over the chords I used I reckon! Setup was Epi LP into V-Amp 2, on the soldano patch, my favourite hi gain one at the minute. Its pretty obvious which pickup was which, but if you cant tell then the rhythm is all bridge, the lead is neck until around 43 seconds.

Enjoy!

Edit - whilst I think about it, theres also the cheesy power metal type thing (ignore the name, private joke :P) I did a few days ago here, all bridge mule into the same patch I think:

...or play it with a major third, then you're deep into eastern territory...
(for real fun make it a major seven as well )

You see.. I dont know what any of that means, the only way I can learn scales is by learning the box shapes, I just cant remember notes!

no idea, but it looks nice.. i was lookin at a Gibson LP Custom in arctic white the other day. It's probably the only guitar in the world which i like the gold hardware on.

Yeah I dont normally like gold hardware, but I think my LP looks just right with the black covered pickups instead of the gold ones.
