Craig, it's a new start and like you say it will get you some new gear so can't be bad eh!

When I played the Boss set I can remember looking at Phil King and saying 'Woah!

Yeah, it's better than being on the Dole, I've never been so bored in my whole life!

When someone has a reaction like that to a pickup, you know it's a quality item

That's the spirit Craig! You can always find something else if it's not your thing.

I reacted like that to all of them come to think of it lol!

Yeah, I was the same when I put the ITs in the neck and middle of my Fender Strat. They kicked the ass of the Duncan Antiquities I had in there before :)

I gave Tim a call yesterday to ask his advice on a Tele bridge pickup and he said a Piledriver bridge with 500k volume and tone pots would work great in this Tele.

So I s'ppose that's that then

I've heard Phil saying how nice and versatile they are. All in the volume pot as it says on the description. It does get you thinking. I'm definitely up for hearing your opinions on them if you go for that pup!! Can't remember, might of been Phil again saying there like a lap steel pickup. Woah!  8)

Cheers mate :)

I'll be sure to post my opinion of it when I finally geta round to ordering it :)

Tim mentioned something on the phone to me about Fender using Lap Steel pickups on their 1st Teles etc and they were high output.
