I just got an Evidence Audio Melody instrument cable to try and see if there's any difference in any of these higher end cables. I've used Monster Cables and then moved to George L's and have been using them loyally for years, but this Evidence Audio cable is kind of an eye opener.

The George L cable sounds really harsh on the high end compared to the Evidence Audio cable. The bridge Mule on my Les Paul straight into a clean tube amp is beautiful sounding, where as before I would have always used the neck pickup exclusively for a clean sound.

Just when I thought I was going to start putting money into the retirement funds after all the BKP's I've recently purchased. Now I have to replace all my instrument cables too! :( :D Does the madness ever end? :twisted:

I know the feeling...I recently bought a Zaolla cable which was £40+ for 10 feet, which sounds mad....but there really is a tonal difference. But you're right, I'm now sat thinking I should make all my other cables Zaolla ;-)

I guess the way to go is use the good stuff for the studio and the other cables for gigs. I haven't turned into Eric Johnson yet so the George L's will have to do. :roll: :D
