...warm big, Harmonically full and it's gotta have a fair bit of output to match up to the Cold Sweat Neck model.

I voted for the HD.  It might not be as versatile as the NB, but it certainly has these three qualities - I love it in my Warmoth strat.

Metal, (CS neck sound is good, Bridge needs to be)
Thrash Metal, (Bridge Needs to cover it)
Shred, (Petrucci, Vai, Satriani, Eklundh, Timmons, Gilbert)
80's Rock, (Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Van Halen, Extreme)
...
powerful, rich and sing

The other reason I voted HD was because it covers these things very well & you've admitted that the other things in your list are adequately covered by your neck & middle pickups.

Tim said the Rebel Yell and so did Twighlight, and i think they've got some great ears for tone and i've listened over and over to that steve stevens clip and the cleans and distortion sound is absolutly ideal really.

versitile yet totally balls to the wall. decision is over now, just gotta finance it which shouldnt be a problem aslong as my cheque im owed arrives :P

I would say Rebel Yell too.
However, saying certain pups are only good for certain tones is poooooooo.
Alot depends on Amp/EQ and style.
My custom Warpigs can do a mean blues tone, yeah da pigs.
However. Pound for pound would say RY.

Basically, and am sure this will born obvious in general. Most folk will vote/say the pup 'they' own or 'favor'.

Truth is, Tim does NOT make a bad pup and depending on amp/effects etc. all can make glorious noises of styles.

Just but a VHII in the bridge of my strat and the Miracle Man back into the ESP so it's

VHII, Irish Tour, Cold Sweat on the Strat.. the balance of output between the bridge and neck is a bit hard to level out but i've managed to do it with the bridge up close and the neck dropped a bit...

Amazing tones just what i was after really..

and the ESP with the Set of MM's is actually sounding really good with those pickups in.

Didnt even have to spend any money.. Booya!
