Heya,

I'm thinking about switching out my Abraxas for something a little more powerful, and still has some vintage hot in it. I want to try a ceramic bridge as well.

Anyone tried the Abraxas and the Cold Sweat bridge?

I have had both, the Cold sweat is much fuller,more gain and has a more pronounced mid drive. The Abraxas rocked but in a different way,its a little more polite than the CS. Heavy Riffing is easy on the CS.

The Cold Sweat definitely has a whiff of "vintage hot" in it! It's really good for old school riffing, but with a taughtness that you can't get from an Alnico pickup.

The Cold Sweat has a little bit in the lower mids, not as much dead center midrange push as the Abraxis, with about the same amount of top end cut.

I did find the bridge Abraxas brighter than the CS but they where in totally different guitars.

Very cool. The CS sounds like tasty. I would like to try a ceramic, and the Cold Sweat and maybe the Miracle Man would be great in my LP-style guitar.

You have to be a member of the Seconds Out usergroup to post in there - there's the link to the information page, and there's a request membership button as well.

It's because they don't want it to get overcrowded and a sort of ebay replacement with people joining just to sell stuff - the main requirement is that you have made a bit of a contribution to the place, but they usually say 100 posts as a guideline
