Anyway, there's no relation between your processor speed and the amount of RAM you need.
1gb should be fine, but 2gb would be absolutely excellent.

I've bought 2 GB RAM (2 x 1 GB, 400 MHz DDR2) for my PC, and there's definitely an improvement in speed, especially when using Photshop or similar softwares. Thanks for the help, guys. :)

Yeah, once I got another Gb of RAM, I couldn't believe the difference in speed.

nope, dual processors - 2 x 2.8 Ghz

nope, dual processors - 2 x 2.8 Ghz

Dual processors or dual core?
If it's the latter, it isn't two processors, or double the speed.
Have you got a dual core Pentium D or something?

Never heard of tandem processoring in commercial computers.

All processors generate a hell of an amount of heat.

That said, I want some, where did you get it from?

most not as quite as much as Xeons

got it from Dell, look for the precision 670 model, thas what i got (its usually under the workstation section)

You have a beast of a computer.

Still, with the money you spent on a Dell, you could have gotten a monstrously powerful custom PC for a fraction of the price.
