Damn.

What a great chug.  I was playing the Fender Hot Rods recently here, and loved it.   I like it even more now, and the BKPs!

I need to look into a good pedal like that!

Sweet clip

I'm actually thinking about replacing the Tube Factor with a Jekyll & Hyde pedal. I'll have to give it a try first to see if it's any better.

Right. Here are the other soundclips I promissed. It's the same setup as before but I added one more mic. This one was on the Eminence speaker in the combo. Quality is slightly less, I lost my regular recording cable so I had to improvise with normal home sound system wires. I think the tape deck has seen better days too, it's a bit jangly. Haven't been playing for a week so excuse the bad playing.

Anyway, the first clip is clean, the second one dirty. No backing tracks, standard tuning and a touch of Fender reverb. Enjoy!

-Greetings, & felicitations Ratrod!-
Sounded good, those clips- that must be yer 'FireBreather', right?-
-Like the music store, no click approach, and am inspired to post some clips without all the metrononic bumping and ticking in the background...
-cheers, mate!-

Thanks Drac. It's the Fire Breather indeed. Lives up to it's name with the Warpig.

The bass is tight and there's lots of it. A Miracle man has an even tighter bass because of the ceramic magnet. If you want the tightness of the Miracle Man combined with the chug of the Warpig, I think you should go for the ceramic Warpig.

How's the Warpig for solos? I'm going for VH 2's in the fall, and another set I haven't decided on yet. It's either the Nailbomb or the Warpig. BKP's are just too damn good. :D

Solos are very nice with the Warpig, almost bluesy. Just hit that one note and feel it. It exells in Iommi style solos. When soloing the Warpig seems to turn into a really warm and saturated PAF.

Good stuff! The dirty tone certainly sounds like the Warpig lives up to its name, and wow -- a lot of bass in there.  But, heretical though it may seem, I was almost more impressed with the clean tone! Amazing that something that can get such a raunchy dirt tone also cleans up so well.  That Total Guitar review may indeed have been pretty much on the mark.

Did someone in some thread say Tim has a guitar loaded with Warpigs?  It'd be interesting to hear a brief clip from that too .....

The TG review is spot on.

Watch this space for more clips. I just had a request for some solo work of the Warpig. I picked up Reise, reise from Rammstein today. This is THE pickup for THAT sound. So I'm gonna record some Rammstein licks as well.

Anyone wanna hear it do rockabilly?
