It just occurred to me, is the "none more black" name taken from spinal tap?

(I did warn you it was a stupid question)

Interesting question - I'd never really thought of it...but technically you should ask direct questions with a PM :P

Er - yes - the black LP type that we had reviewed was entirely inspired by Spinal Tap:
This was made before BKPs were on the market but we still make this model with your choice of everything.......although we can't get the knobs anymore that go to 11

A black guitar with black binding
Black hardware and pickups
Ebony fingerboard with Black pearl inlays
Control knobs all go up to 11 (cos that's 1 louder!)
Was gonna change the rythym/treble switch ring with one that said "stun " and "kill" but never got to do it at the time

We put red LEDs up the side of the neck so that you had some chance of seeing where you were

And the headstock logo I originally wanted to be black but we settled for grey for visibility purposes

We had it reviewed in Guitar buyer
Copy of review here:http://felineguitars.com/media/guitar_buyer_200401.html

Although we have used the None More Black logo since on the Hetfield style explorer we made for someone, to their own preferences.

We are making another like it now for stock but are wondering which BKPs to put in .........
What would you put in there??

Apologies for posting pix of guitars without BKPs in....
Gonna make some new ones - BKP loaded  for next years show

That's really cool.

As for pickups, I'd say it'd have to be black covered warpigs. That's what I'd order, anyway, if I had more than £26 to my name.

For the hetfield?

Overwound miracle men. Bridge about 20k.

That should nail a more-metallica-than-metallica sound in that guitar.

Black covers, of course :D

I'd go gold Cold Sweats and all gold hardware.
I think I need some shades 8)

But then you could get something that was more black, couldn't you?

Is it DR that do black strings?

Anyone can have black strings if you just leave them on long enough :D

But they may well do, I think I've only seen the blue (which Dweezil Zappa uses on his blue sparkle SG), red and multicolour packs though.

The strings are DR, they're called Black Beauties (for some reason, DR has a lot of strings named after narcotics!), and they sound God awful. One of the dudes on Shadows Fall uses em, so I'm sure there are lots of metalheads in Finland using those strings now. ;)
