with an epiphone les paul Joe perry, with OBL(original bill lawrence) pIckups.
thats back in 1997 or 1996.
that was some kind of my very own SECOND guitar

But that's a very rock'n'roll picture, too 8) -- and (though I shouldn't say it here) the players I've heard with Bill Lawrence pickups seemed to have good tone (though I know nothing more about the pickups!).

i had a L500XL , but they said it was form some ex bill lawrence employees that desbanded the factory and starting to make some BL pickups by themselves
i installed it in a jackson JS-1 cr@ppy wood guitar, but amazing playabillity!
and i really loved the pickup. pretty good.
but i need to test the Original Bill Lawrence L500XL

Roy Z, that's the guy I remember with Bill Lawrence pups. He uses an early '70s Gibson Goldtop LP Deluxe with Bill Lawrence L-500 mini humbuckers. He's played on Bruce Dickinson solo albums and stuff like that and has pretty fab tone, IMO: sort of classic metal meets Peter Green/Santana. (Though, naturally, BKPs would make it better! ;))
