well... since i don't have any amps, i connected it to guitar rig and recorded it through sound forge... to be honest i don't see much difference between the previous duncan 59 and rebel yell, horrible high ends has been tempered but the the warm and organic tone couldn;t be felt with this shitety software emulator... i think it might because of the treble booster that ive used for this... otherwise guitar rig just sounds so dulll. for the person like me who moves about many times per year, heavy gears like amp is too much a hassle. but hey, it was my first attempt to record and i know it's pretty dull but couldn't be bothered to record it again... never knew recording tool this much effort!! but enjoy and many crits welcome!

Not bad at all but I think you are overloading the input slightly and its causing clipping, it will also make your tone thinner. Other than that good work!

PS, it was about time someone tried this clip with RYs :D

hey thanks for the tip gingataff!!

it was guitar rig 2... settings were simple lead800, cat, a bit of chorus, treble booster, spring reverb, quad delay, 2 60s marshall cabs.

guitar was my princess tiffany blue washburn p4, any nuno fans will know wut i am talking about =)

man, recording is a pain in the butt.

you think you got the most awesome tome on the planet.. but when you try and capture that it comes out so horrible that you want to hang yourself for spending a fortune on guitars, amps, pickups, effects, yadda yadda, to have a recording that compares to a chinese squire through an mg15...

though, once you get the knicks and knacks polished out, it's well worth it

I agree with Davey, recording the tone you've got exactly the way it sounds is a very tricky and painfull procedure. But you've got a very nice tone and I bet that if you hadn't the problems you mentioned, it would sound even better!

Good job! Make's me think if I should get the RY instead of VHII after all :)

thanks all.... i think as someone said the tone is in your fingers.... now i have the best pickup that money can buy, i will just keep practicing until i can fully appreciate wut i have...

hey cnotold that sounded cool, it kind of sounded like a single coil which was weird. I see your'e from Nottingham I don't suppose you know any really good guitar teachers as I'm looking for lessons?

Oh yea can you tell me about this guitar rig is? I use a thing called a guitarport which is a bit pants.

the software is called guitar rig 2... apparently if u get the setting right the result is amazing.... i find it quite hard to get the sound i want though.

Guitar Rig uses a combined foot-controller audio interface/sound card, but the demo version can be used with a separete interface or soundcard if its high enough quality.

no chance of tabbing it then? i got it down up to the bit where you alt pick the c major arpeggio and then it goes into a couple of major triads with slides its just the next bit.
