Heya,

More metal/gainy Abraxas clips.   Two ideas over the same riff and drums.

Any comments appreciated!

Cool!   Have any advice about recording or tone?

Also,  I want all your pickups.

Recording! Me?    I'm forcing myself to read a Cubase VST manual and sound recording techniques. The pain! It's making sence but it's like  learning a new lingo! I tend to glaze over after an hour. The parameters involved are vast but it can be done using a few golden rules. Your clip sounded pretty good though.

Are you recording with a Mic or DI? How did you record your track here?

Tone is subjective so just dial in what pleases your ear or try and match something you heard on a CD.

Sure, it was asked to you and all that listened.

I recorded with the Guitarport.   Easy way to record riffs down!  I agree on your statement about tone.   Good info, thanks.

Crazy Joe:
Cool, someone else liked the tone! It wasn't tapping, just legato :)

Haha Tol, you seem to be the only person in the world with an Abraxas by the looks of these recordings - keep the clips coming :)

Well, you're the only person who ever posts clips of Abraxas - and noone really mentions them all that much, so it seems that you're the only person who has them :drink:

Yeah, your right.    I guess I should get some more clips out besides metal.   Or put some neck clips in as well.

Not too many Holy Divers either...... hmmmm?  Do you have one

 Sorry Steve...When I was deciding on BKPs and the Abraxas was still an option, Tol's clips were the only ones I heard (maybe it was before yours were up?) and then now he's posting more...

On a side note: Has anyone heard the Killswitch cover of Holy Diver? It's fairly good, but completely fails in comparison to the original :)
