What do you think of these? I'm sure they'll divide opinion but I kinda like them.... This one's got a combintion of flamed and quilted maple on mahogany.

This one is Flamed maple and Ovankol.

...and this one is spalted maple....

Yeah i saw them whilst looking through the Ibanez models when trying to find a guitar, the jigsaw ones are pretty cool!

if it weren't for the fact that they were ibanez's then the bottom one might have ended up in my collection .... aaah well, will just have to save some more for a custom :(

i realy like those tops.

a +1 on ibanezs' thinking.

they're 80's cheesy and classy at the same time hehe.
neck through too, right?

shame for the inlays and fretboard wood though. no inlay ebony or ebony with 12th fret inlay would slay!

Prestige Ibanez's don't have it (they're the MIJ ones)

CaffeineJunkie, why do you hate Ibanez so hard? I really value my middle pickup - i'm using it in one combination or another far over 50% of the time i'm playing.

i just can't stand them, too 'metal'

(prepares for barrage of abuse from anybody with a warpig)

and everybody gets all excited about their wizard necks when i found them horrible to play, much prefer a les paul or musicman

and the middle pickup gets in the way of my pick, just like on a strat

Meh i got an Ibanez since I'm not loaded, and mine seems to cover pretty much any base of music i throw at it, and to a very reasonable degree aswell.
I can understand you not liking the neck, but it's all preference i suppose

i get what you're saying, but for about the same price you could probably have got an Epi Les Paul, which in my book is right up the top .... which is why i bought it

spose it's your guitar not mine so....

wizard = pretty damn good. especialy if it's paired with a bit thicker neck and a flat fretboard w/ large frets

I agree with that statement whole heartedly! - except I love my strat neck over the Epi LP...

I disagree with that...For the money, you could do better than an Epi Les Paul - Mine is fairly well built, but the hardware is awful.

I may well try another Ibanez soon, as I haven't played one with a wizard neck for a while and they may have improved...

Sorry but i'd take an Ibanez any day over a Epiphone.

Anyways those look cool, they did the right thing in choosing spalted maple.
