So, I'm posting this from the library with all the old people who can't afford computers as my internet connection packed up yesterday...
I called the ISP and they told me that it was a problem with BT. So I call BT and they say that something went wrong (I didn't really listen to what it actually was) and that it should be fixed "within 5 working days"!!!!
Now, the reason this upset me is because I know what BT are like as I've had dealings with them before, and 5 working days is code for "about a month".
There is, however, a plus side to this story. As I was leaving the house this morning to visit the library so I can check my emails and stuff, I noticed a package sitting in the porch. Yes, my scratchplate was here at last. Now as you've probably heard from my whining over the last 3 weeks, this was the key ingredient needed before I can add my much anticipated Holy Diver and Slowhands to my strat.
So, on the way to the library I stopped by homebase and got a soldering iron, and I will be adding the lovelies to my guitar tonight - at least I have something to do while I can't get on here talking to you guys (and I can have a proper play with them with no distractions :D)
I probably won't be back online from the library anymore as they're charging me £2 per hour to use the computer, but leave me messages of love to read on my return
See you all soon, with much love...
