Does anyone know what these are called + where to buy them?
« on: August 04, 2006, 06:26:50 PM »
Hey guys.

For when my pedalboard is finished, I'm looking at using some specific connectors for the pedals which I recall my ex guitar teacher using.

They look like 2 1/4inch jack plugs (like on guitar leads) but they're just connected to each other, no cable involved.

Does anyone happen to know what they're called, where I could get some from and (most importantly) if they even exist in the first place or have I just made them up!

The closest I have seen Craig is the patch cables-a small length of cord with a jack on either end. I have a bunch of them I use for various situations.

I've seen 'em.  You might be able to get them at an electronics store.  Dunno what they're called.  Male-to-male 1/4 inch adaptors?

Hi guys.

Thanx for the replies.

Thanx for proving I'm not going mad in my old age

Phil, those are the things I'm remembering, but unfortunately Musicians Friend don't ship to the UK. So I'm currently keeping my eyes open in UK based shops.

Atleast I have more info to search with now.

Thanx again.

The Planet Waves connectors are also available on eBay:

eBay's great for guitar parts, because it's so easy to search for specific items.

I would go for the Neutrik ones on Ebay.  Do a search for 'neutrik akk'.  They're only £2.75 + are one of the best names in adapters/connectors.
BKPS: Cryogenic Apache set, Mule set, Riff Raff, Stormy Monday.
