Theres so many guitars i've let go I shouldnt have

Gibson Les Paul Standard, Ibanez JEM7VWH, Ibanez RG7620, Music Man John Petrucci, Peavey Wolfgang, Peavey Vandenberg, Ibanez S520EX, Fender Contemporary Standard Strat (1986)... god the list goes on for ages.. But you cant regret it all, and looking back at things through a rose tinted glass isnt going to help either.

I'll tell u now i spend all day thinking that strat i sold was the best sounding guitar i've ever heard but I honestly dont think it would hold up against the stuff I have now..

oh and heres a list of amps i regret selling..
Marshall JCM800, JCM900 SLX, JCM900 MkIII, ENGL Screamer 50.. but none of them are as good as the one i have now muhahaha!

Guitarwise I regret not buying a 68 (or possibly 69) Thinline Tele for £125 way back in 83 because I wouldn't borrow the last 20 quid of my folks :(

Apparently it was previously owned by Adrian Gurvitz (pardon spelling) who had previously worked with Ginger Baker (amongst others) ofcourse that was before he released that really sh1t song 'Classic' (which probably devalued the guitar by a considerable sum for all of eternity.)

Most other things I regret are too depressing to be mentioned.

Blimey, Baker Gurvitz Army, now theres a name from the past. I regret selling my Laney Klipp years ago anletting it go for next to nothing.

I never had a hangover till I was 26 and I was trying (still have the scars to prove it).

Too true - The first (and so far only) hang over I ever had was after drinking a bottle of whisky, neat, in the space of about 10 minutes...next thing I know I'm sitting in the local McDonalds and it's 9 hours later

That was a bad hangover though, and Tom - It's not something you want to rush to experience :drink: :lol:

The hangover that only really starts a couple of hours after you wake up and carries on for a couple of days are the worst.

Those are usually preceeded by passing out mid sentance several hours before (on one occasion totalling the potted plants in a Redditch chip shop). I didn't drink for several months after that and still can't stand the smell of certain beers :(

That sounds VERY similar to my experience - I couldn't stand for the whole next day (after sleeping) and was still throwing up the day after...

And even now, a year on, I don't drink anywhere near as often as I used to

when i got the ol' poisoning, i couldn't drink anywhere near as much for about.... two, maybe three weeks

then i got smashed again and realised how much fun a couple of bottles of vodka, a crate of red bull, a shopping trolley and a bungee cord can be :D:D:D

You've given me some fairly legendary ideas for that shopping trolley and bungee cord - one such idea is tying the cord to a lamppost and the trolley and riding it down the steep ass hill outside my house :drink:

one of the ones we came up with was to find two poles across a road (preferably with speed humps) and cone off the road, then tie the bungee cord across the width of the road, then using the magic of elasticity, shopping trolley (usually filled with drunken teenagers) goes WEEEEEEEEEEEE until it hits the speed bump and kinda takes off a bit

although a lot of the time the front of the trolley just stopped ... which hurt

Well, this steep hill has speed bumps...Maybe the bungee cord isn't needed :P
