XLR to TRS?

Could you please tell me how the 3-pin XLR, balanced symmetric output of a DI box could be connected with a 1/8" TRS input on my soundcard?

That I don't know, but I can recommend a book that everyone doing any level of recording or sound engineering should have:

Yamaha's SOUND REINFORCEMENT HANDBOOK. It has pin outs for EVERYTHING, as well as tonnes of other useful info!

Thanks, Ben, sounds interesting. Our Yamaha dealer should know if it's available here.

Assuming your 1/8" (3.5mm) mini jack is wired stereo:

XLR Pins: 1 - Ground, 2 - Hot, 3 - Cold (3 is middle hole)
TRS: Tip - Hot, Ring - Cold, Sleeve - Ground (Ring is small ring behind tip)
Bibble.
BKP's: Black Dog set, Emerald set, & Crawler set.
