I happened to be in the Feline workshop and saw that Lion last night.

The picture really doesn't capture the richness of the colour.

The top shimmers if you gently move it under the light... Not outrageous or gaudy at all.

That's sweet. I bet she's even prettier in person too!
The midi pickup is a great idea, I've got big gas for one myself.

I saw it on the bench on friday afternoon, before the hardware went on (bridge posts were in - very neatly recessed). It looks gorgeous - there's a lot of "character" to the flame. It's one of those that looks good from a distance and then also warrants a loving closer inspection by the owner from time to time...

Johnny, you'll be very pleased to know that I didn't drop my tele on it . It might have been close if I hadn't been standing so far back already (in a kind of worshipful awe), I still think Jonathan almost had kittens, but he's far too polite :D

Like this ?

Was a travel guitar for a jazz player - short enough to go as hand luggage on an airplane at the time
Dates back about 7 years....

Hey, that is cute...

And I think you might need to run the "P90 Leslie West guitar" idea by Philly as well... I suspect he might be in the "right demographic" for such an idea :D

Is that an actual project Jon has in mind?  I'd certainly like to see it!  :D

I'd possibly be thinking more along the lines of a Lion Cub, in korina, with a humbucker or two.  Or, in fact, that thinner bodied Emerald Lion almost exactly as it is....

But don't get me started.... don't want to be spending now...

It was more along the P90 route, and what he was describing seemed to me to be fitting your tastes according to at least one of your recent Japanese acquisitions a while back (of course, they might already have satisified your lustings in that direction ).

(Possibly my tastes as well :?)
