It was more along the P90 route, and what he was describing seemed to me to be fitting your tastes according to at least one of your recent Japanese acquisitions a while back (of course, they might already have satisified your lustings in that direction ).

(Possibly my tastes as well :?)

Yes - was going to call it the "Mountain Lion"
Can do it in either P90 or HB format

Sounds good to me!   :D

I love my LP Special/Juniors, it's the combination of the slab body, shallow neck angle, wraparound bridge and full-width neck tenon - seems to give the perfect tone/feel as far as I'm concerned.

The only thing I don't like is that annoying little "step" in the cutaway where the neck joins the body, an all-access neck joint would be much better.  And I'm fairly ambivalent about P-90s, I'd prefer humbuckers really.

The big dilemma would be whether to keep it really plain or go for something a little more exotic (but not a full-on quilt top or anything like that).

I'll do it one day....

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I've had a few hours playing the new Feline Lion.  :D It's amazing, it feels so comfortable to play, solid and it just oozes quality. The sounds are gorgeous and rich, full of harmonics. Clean it sounds brilliant too. The piezo pickups do a great job of acoustic sounds, which you can blend with the Rebel Yells.
The flame top is almost like a hologram. When the light falls on it from different angles it seems to move and its a beautiful finish, but not PRS OTT just the right balance. I love it!!  :D :D :D

I've not got a Midi processor at the moment but will get the Axon MkII once I've raised the cash.
Then i could do some kind of demo if anyone's interested.

All in all its an incredible guitar and the quality of Jonathon's work is first class.

It looks great Johnny, and since it is one of Jon's guitars, I'm sure it plays as well as it looks.  Have fun with it.
So many pickups, so little time

It's an odd one to try to photograph - it actually looks more dramatic in real life

I got some gorgeous tones from it tonight using my BBE Sonic Maximiser, A Telenordia Kompressor and a HBE Dos Mos through my amp using 5% attenuation and putting the master half way. It's nice using a Alnico Humbucker for a change too. The sustain is unreal.

Mmmmmmmm looks lurrrrvly Johnny!

I'm not usually a fan of the engraved text on BK's, but for some reason it looks just right in this case.

Bet it's absolutely awesome.

It's a bit hard to see in these pics but the pups are burnt chrome and tones down the engraving effect somewhat.
