Johnny - if there are potential changes to scale length and number of frets then we should discuss it sooner rather than later - so I dont have to radically redisgn anything once work has commenced

All the ideas that the guys have chipped in with are good , but ultimately it is YOUR guitar so what suits you best is what we will go with.

We can offer all of these options but need to plan ahead as changes brought in during the build throw up problems and issues.

Always better to have the planning stuff sorted before cutting any wood

It seems all Les pauls in my life at present
Whilst we are selecting and cutting wood for JMs new beast we also have some work in progress on another 3-4 Lp guitars showing on our webpage

http://felineguitars.com/on_the_bench/

Here's a sneak peek at a couple of them

This one has a 5A quilt top and will eventually be trans purple & feature black BKPs (maybe Painkillers ). Will use an Earvana nut and Tonepros hardware

This one is all Korina and is a real light weight  LP
We built it exactly the same way as a normal LP but we used a 2 piece Korina top on a Korina back. The neck is Korina too with an Ebony board.

I am so tempted to put a Tonepros/Graphtech Ghost piezo system on this too as the acoustic sound from Korina is fab

I was looking at the Feline website today and I saw those and a few other nice looking works in progress, one question though, is that petrucci guitar ever going to get finished?

Yeah - that will be coming along too
It is now going to have a lightweight mahogany body
Can't decide whether to use a Lo-Pro Edge or an Edge pro

And then to decide what colour
We have been experimenting with a few metallic and gun metal colours
Metallic purples, blues and pewters

There is a Jackson fusion body/feline neck (24.75" scale) that we have done in a cool gun metal- looks way better than the pictures suggest

There are a few projects that aren't on the website too
