I'm thinking of getting the Epiphone Valve junior Head version amplifier, is there any way you could post a clip of the combo's tone on the players forum? I'd love it if you can, it'll help me get an idea of it's character. twas thinkin of the head and then getting a 15 inch speaker to attach to it as it wont cost too much money and should sound very very nice.

When I can get hold of a decent mic I'll record a few clips. I've got rid of the Behringer effects unit from my chain. It was a bit of a tone sucker. The amp sounds warmer without it and I hardly use any effects so I'm happy to do without. I'd say the sonic character of the amp is somewhere between a Fender Twin and a Vox AC30, which is great for me and my BKP loaded Strat copy :D.

Combo is only 4 Ohm output which is a little unhandy (normally cabs are 16 or 8). No big deal, but the head has 4,8,16 outs.

And it's even cutier and smaller.

EXACTLY! versitility gives you more variety making life more interesting, the head version just opens the options, I've heard from reviews that it sounds awesome, and I've also heard that the head version has NO hum whatsoever, thats in the newsest versions.
