Check out the video, I quite fancy the Tele, and the Strat, and the Precision, and the JB!
It's interesting to hear the views about using alnico3 for high gain on SCs.
Damn, my GF would seriously kill me (or at least leave me) if I buy another guitar( and then the BKPs... ooohhhh)

The headstocks leave them dead in the water for me, I can't stand them at all. A shame because the rest of the package sounds great.

I suppose the headstock thing is a marketing strategy to get people who want  the trad shape and the made in USA badge to pay more for the regular range.

Yeahhh, I don't like the headstock, but, I think that has to be put aside if the guitar plays and sounds good.

I have to say that I like that rosewood necked daphne blue Telecaster - I feel a tele coming on and its that or the surf green 62 custom (which is a shite load more) - depends on how much cash my wife sucks from me next year  8)

I think unless ur buying a Deluxe strat most of fender stuff is garbage but as is the same with most brands these days..

Although the odd American Standard Strat does punch way above it's weight, as I discovered pleasently yesterday whilst trying a sunburst standard strat from 95.

Probably leave myself open for flaming :P but I actually really like that headstock and think the Highway 1 is great, from my experience is usually better than american standards, the headstock reminds me of the one on the Trower signature model...  8)

My Highway 1 tele is great - just waiting for a set of BKs when I have the cash

For £300ish you can't go wrong (got mine when I was last in US, so majorly cheap) :drink:
