I love the way Explorers look, never played one though :o I think yours would look cool with black covered BK's with silver or gold polepieces :)

I'd say stick with the gold PAF-style, it breaks up the big mass of black more and would look nicer with the gold hardware... opinions are like A******es tho! :)

I was going to go for an Ibanez RG, whammy bar, 24 frets with sharktooth inlays, hsh pickups

But i kept it simple, 2 hum 3 way switch, tone pros with stop bar tailpiece. Great guitar!

I was planning on Miracle Man with Cold Sweat, havn't decided on covers yet, so many options!

However i would like to know what Ceramic Warpigs are like, what style are they at their best in?

I still haven't tried a tokai. I think a couple of shops here do them, but I always see something I want to try more! :(

If the other Tokai's are anything like this, then they are definatley worth trying, seriously to pull me away from a Prestige RG had to be good, and it was definatley worth it.

I played a really cr*p Jap Tokai tele the other day - no soul at all. Wood was dead and it felt really plastic-y. By comparison, the Korean Lite Ash tele I tried was superb and I was very tempted to buy it.

Even the good brands can have a Friday afternoon guitar I guess!

I always thought these things would be terrible to play when sat down, like a Flying-V... but i just realised, couldn't you put this in the 'classical guitar' playing possition? that'd be interesting!

I prefer to play in that possition myself, but, with the strap knob going into my leg, it kinds hurts after a while :?

Bairds on York Street & the Guitar Emporium both stock them in Belfast.

Their Firebirds are real nice too

me and a mate were looking at a £400 Tokai LP Custom the other day and comparing it with a £2400 Gibson equivalent. the Gibson was the better guitar to play, but not by another £2000. I would still buy the Tokai without hesitation for that sort of cash.

Yeah, i'm finding it hard finding one in the UK, especially in west yorkshire area.

Really want to try out one of their Les Paul types now, i've always loved the LP shape but not really so big on the gibson name.

Anyone got any ideas on who stocks 'em?
