I really regret selling my Live shite box set nowadays, i've still got the stencil somewhere tho, all my schoolbooks ended up covered in little metallica blokeys* when I got that!

Cool, but for some reason that is not in the dvd section it's in popular music, that's probably why i didn't see it!

I've noticed that people with warpigs here tend to like mid range, so I'm sure if you turn down the mids you can get a near exact Hetfield tone. But I've always though the Miracle man is better for the Hetfield tone, since he uses EMG 81's and MM's sound similar.

Actually Hetfield uses the EMG 60...

Don't think so, not in this case.
He started by using 81/81 config. Then experimented with 81's and 60's and combos of both. Around the Black Album time he had 81/60 in his axe's (so earlier tone was not just 60's).

absolutely NO idea what you are getting at here.

I have them (calib. set) in my Gibson Explorer.
Wanted a good rythm chug with dynamics and a 'defined' tone, ala early Hetfield.
That help any?

Dakine, can you post a ceramic X Regular warpig clip?!
please.
Q:p

Sorry mate, not for while.
My Explorer will be back (having some tweaking done) next week but my Std. Warpig loaded axe is still in Texas :(

Will do what I can as soon as I can though.

Got a Shure Prologue 10L now (courtesy Mr.Boulton) so soon as get phantom power supply will try with my Zoom to record some Explorer/Custom 'pig clips using the ENGL and Mesa.

Trust me, am as anxious to record as you are to hear :)
