...about 12 years ago I replaced the pickups on my trusty Gibson Flying V with a Duncan Custom bridge & Duncan Full Shred neck. Boy, was that Custom ever a mistake :( - it's a lousy, cr@ppy, weedy pickup & I always hated it but never quite got round to changing it (OK, it's marginally better than the hideous microphonic things Gibson insist on putting in their guitars, but that ain't saying much :roll:)
Today I finally put it right by installing a BKP Miracle Man (black covered w/cap head allen bolts) in the bridge.
Now I remember why I bought this Flying V in the first place. The MM rocks :twisted: - if you play metal (particularly palm muted & speed riffs) then you need to try one.
BTW, the order was another unbelievably fast turnaround by Tim & the BKP people - cheers guys.
I'm happy, my Flying V is happy, my neighbours probably aren't :lol: - I'm off to play some more :)
