Vintage burst may not be to everyone's taste, but I much prefer the black/brown kind of bursts (like this, or the Desert Burst, Honey Burst etc) over the cherry bursts - plus I've not seen many Les Pauls in this colour.
Anyway, what these pics don't tell you is how nice it is to play & what a beautiful sounding & feeling Les Paul it is :) It has a fantastic lively sound to it & is going to absolutely rock when I install BKPs in it :-)
Also, the fingerboard is immaculate with really good fretwork - something you can't always say even about the most expensive Gibsons. While shopping for Les Pauls over the last few years the thing that's amazed me most has been the highly variable build quality - I think I've been lucky to get one that's not only made of bueatiful wood, but also by someone who knew what he/she was doing :)
