I was reading an old thread about SGs the other day.  Tim recommended either something super high output (Warpig or Miracle Man) or something really low output (Riff Raff, Mule or Stormy Monday, but with Alnico V magnets).

So, from a position of near-total ignorance, I'll say Warpig.  That's what I'm planning to get for one of my SGs.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

all-round as in versatile?

Neither...an SG needs Mississippi Queens!  8)

I have them in my Les Paul special and love them more than any pickup I've tried (for blues and fusion-funk type stuff).

If I got an SG I'd throw a set of Mq's in there, no doubt.
BKPs: Miracle Man, Cold Sweat neck, Ceramic Warpig, Mississippi Queens, Holy Divers
