Had first band practise with the "Rebel Axis" yesterday. Little Shiva was roaring like a wounded bear and squealing like a baby that's been taken away its toy!

Even my Laney 4x12 sounds great again :P

Will post some Rebel Shiva clips at the WE, especially for Mr. Healy to feed the GAS :twisted:

OK, another one, a little weird as I used some D&B drums and altogether the recording ... well, you can hear the monitor sound through the SM57 as it's too early to crank anything, so volumes are very low here.

BUT, the Rebels are soooo fun, 10 times definition and 100 times harmonics :oops:

That sounds great- loved the riff in the back ground- as a bassist who has come over to the light side( :) I was riffing in my head. I really like your playing. Good to see D & B put to good use!

does the neck pickup of your rebel yell seem a bit mushy and inarticulate? I think mine might have been set too far my strings, i don't know. This is more apparent with cleans, my bridge cleans sound better than neck and thats not right.

No. I would call it dark and ballsy. It's not mushy or intransparent. It's got a different voice and less output than the Bridge (which I think is good, otherwise what are the two pickups for if not for different sounds?).

I'll make a clean clip with the neck to show you how nice it sounds.

Thanks man, I like it too. Kinda hard to record the dynamics of this baby. Bob savage said the Bogner was easy to record as opposed to his VHT UL.

And dude, I can tell you, there are also many many many things left that I must get one day ...

Mine have been removed form the Epi and are going into a custom build, so I'll have to wait a few months to get the feeling your having!

Mr muddy RY neck pup! Your set up must be wrong cos mine were great before they were put in to Project X! :D

Thanks for all the praise, yeah I'm on FIRE, but would rather play real loud with some dudes than into my Mac, but band practise is 1x a week only

So re the crunch box - it's played through the Epi VJ in a different recent post, but let's see if I will have time later to make one with the Bogner- I definitely love this box, and it's one of the cheapest (new) FX that I have.
