Just turned my guitar amp on and it went quiet then loud then really $%&#in loud then really quiet..

then there was a big yellow flash out of the back..

Knew those tubes were about to go..

Hunter tell me about it.. im deffinatly eyeing up the Ecstacy Classic!! just £2799 is one whopping price tag!

Try Thomann in Germany, they are a very decent on their prices and quoted me only £60 to ship an amp head to the UK.

They were wanting something like £1650 for a Diesel Herbert and a couple o' hundred less for a VH4. Their Engl prices were great too. They sell on ebay (so do other German dealers). Might be a cheaper route than getting stung with UK shop prices.

Gotta remember the voltage differences and stuff though - would you need a transformer? And a new plug put on it etc...

An amp costing that much is a waste of time if it doesn't have a voltage selector on the back

^ new plug yes, same volt for all intensive purposes though. As far as amps go anyways.
UK was 240volts, meant to be 230volts inline with Europe now but PAH, offpeak still usually closer to 240-250volts.

er, germany is the same voltage (at least it's supposed to be EDIT: by this I mean what nick/dakine said) as us... you'd probably have to invest in a new plug though.

and beyers shipped me my amp for £25...
