Ok, see Rinse_Master posted he bought one,
but looking for anyone with experience buying a LP copy (loose term) Edwards direct from Japan.
Who you used, overal experience, end cost etc. (oh and of course qaulity compared to real headstock logo lol).

My trade deal for my Axis fell through (he is dillusional) and am Gassing for a nice LP or Custom.

Like this;
http://www.ikebe-gakki.com/shopping_20.php?cate=1&s_cate=1&brand=57&state=1&img_flg=1&page_cnt=12&order=1&state2=&start_index=24
bottom white one

or this;

middle satin one.

Thanks,
Nick

Guitarjapan.com hasn't got back to me about the les paul I'm supposed to be getting (I ordered it but it has been a week with no response so I might cancel) I've e-mailed isabashi so I might be able to tell you my experiences :)

yeh,have heard/seen those sites (as well as Katana) from another ahem forum (bleah).
Just this is 'home' here and thought might get better response.
Ishibashi thingy seems to get good reviews.
Basically looking for someone who has gone through this process and good review/details of the guitar received.
Thanks

Will,
thats the one I meant to post, white one.
My Gibson LP will be here (with missus and other axes) end of month but have a hankering.
When sell my Axis, and probably Zoom MRS8 (maybe even Pig Loaded Custom SG, need to thin herd) fancy a LP Custom.
However, a.know time it took to find my GOOD LP Std. b.don't wanna buy a 'car' priced guitar and c.don't wanna be skeered to USE it.
Thus Edwards came to mind as (reviewed as great) viable alternative.

ikebe-gaki is showing it in Black for 67,500 yen (say £307 plus shipping and import duties).

Why not go Tokai?  There's a UK importer and they're easier to get hold of...

Cost more for essentially (so far can tell) same thing. Do Tokai do a solid colour custom copy anyways?

Yeah, the "Tokai LC53 Les Paul Custom (RRP £449) £339" looks like what you're after...no?

^ NO, it's a Korean one.
The £599 custom white looks ok but NOT as original looking as Edwards one (i.e. bultiple binding stripes, vintaged white).
Thanks thought twinfan, worth some more thought.

I've canceled my order with GuitarJapan because of two reasons:
A) They were £30 more expensive
B) They didn't let me know what was going on, I was waiting 8 days

I've placed an order with Ishibashi for £403 including postage to UK, they are getting stock in next week :)
