I think I have decided on a DHA pedal aswell. Ive been talkin with Dave at DHA for the past couple days and hes gonna custom modify me a VH2 Fatguts so that it will have all the standard fatguts features but with a fat switch, a treble boost switch and a clip switch. Its got two 12AX7's and im gettin a pretty good deal on it. I am still entrigued by the BSM RM-Metal though and i think it would go pretty well with a bigger valve amp (plexi maybe? ) once i can get the money.
Hi,
Your VT2-Fatguts-Custom is finished and on its way to our new site in Austin, Texas. I am very pleased with the results and I hope you will be as well.
The design has been improved from the first VT2-Fatguts you saw on ebay as I have added an extra Gain knob so that the user now has control of the gain at each of the 4 stages. So, the new controls are Tone (can be switched off), Gain 1, Gain 2, Gain 3 and Level + I/P Level on Bass versions. There is also a 3 position switch for Colour which provides 2 types of Colour plus off. Colour adds negative feedback to the circuit which adds gain and valve compression, think Marshall plexi.
Your Custom version also has the Fat, Treble Boost and Clip Switches.
I look forward to your comments
Dave
