I know this is going to inspire hate mail from the Strat Fan community but what the hell. If you buy a guitar that can produce a full tonal range, (unlike the Strat; any Strat) then you don't have to invest in a stageful of pedals.

Before someone goes off on one about Gilmours Strat or similar just think about all the steroids that have been pumped into that thing to make it sound like a guitar!

Come on; do your worst.

I'm very much an ex-strat player myself, but I really, really miss them.

You have to work at them a little, but once you block the trem and hose them into a decent amp, there's nothing better.

Having said that, I wouldn't swap my eggle for any Strat you'd care to offer...
